Administrative and Faith Leadership
Mrs. Kelly Taylor leads Our Lady of Lourdes School as our Principal. Prior to Lourdes, Mrs. Taylor worked at Saint Mary’s School for sixteen years as an assistant principal, librarian and reading resource teacher. She earned both her Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree in Education from VCU. In addition, Mrs. Taylor earned her Post Master’s certificate in Administration and Leadership from George Washington University. In Kelly’s free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and four children, reading, watching musicals and going to NYC.
Carey Mae Jacobsen is our Assistant Principal at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School. Mrs. Jacobsen has been with our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School for over 15 years. Prior to Lourdes, Mrs. Jacobsen taught in Chesterfield County Public Schools for one year. Mrs. Jacobsen attended Virginia Commonwealth University and earned a bachelor’s degree. Mrs. Jacobsen is currently completing her Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies at Virginia Tech. In Mrs. Jacobsen’s free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and her two dogs, Maggie and Greta.
Bishop Barry C. Knestout
Bishop Knestout was appointed as the Diocese of Richmond’s 13th bishop by Pope Francis, December 5, 2017. He grew up attending both Catholic and public schools. He received a bachelor’s degree in architecture from the University of Maryland. He attended Mount St. Mary’s Seminary in Emmitsburg, Maryland and earned a Master of Divinity degree and Master of Art degree. He was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Washington in 1989.
Father Jim Begley
Father Jim is Pastor at our church parish, Our Lady of Lourdes. He attended Catholic schools growing up and continued his education at St. Meinrad Seminary receiving a B.A. in English. He received his Master Degree in Divinity from St. Mary Seminary & University. In 1981, he was ordained Deacon and the following year he was ordained Priest. He has served as Pastor at churches in Bedford, VA and Mechanicsville, VA. In 2013, he became Pastor at Lourdes. Over the years, he has served on many Boards and Councils. If you join us at church in the fall, you will be asked to pray for his beloved Dallas Cowboys!
Carole Rupertus is our school’s Business Manager. Carole has been with Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School for over ten years in this role. Prior to becoming the Business Manager, Carole was a substitute teacher at Lourdes. Carole received her BA in Business from St. Andrews Presbyterian College and earned her MBA from Virginia Commonwealth University. In her free time, Carole enjoys exercising and spending time with her family.
Heather Topich is our Office Manager and has been a familiar face to the Lourdes community as a parent for eight years. She served as the PTO Chair prior to her employment at Lourdes and has helped with many different activities from serving school lunches to the silent auction. Her oldest child recently graduated from Lourdes and she also has one in seventh grade and one in second grade. Heather graduated from Virginia Tech with a degree in finance and worked at a nonprofit financial consulting firm in D.C. before moving back to Richmond to be a stay-at-home mom. In Heather’s free time, she loves to watch her kids at their many different activities and plan their next family vacation.
Coordinator of Advancement & Admissions
Andrea Fuller is the Coordinator of Advancement & Admissions. She has been employed with Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School for over five years. Her oldest daughter recently graduated from Lourdes and her youngest is in 6th grade. She graduated from James Madison University and worked as a CPA before choosing to stay home to raise her two girls during their younger years. In Andrea’s free time, she enjoys running, tutoring ESL students, and spending time with her family.
Beth began as the school social worker at Our Lady of Lourdes in September 2014. Prior to Lourdes, she worked at multiple agencies and schools in both Boston and Chesterfield County. She received a B.A. in English at Boston College, and an MSW at Simmons College. In Beth’s free time she enjoys watching her favorite Boston sports teams with her husband, Darryl; daughter, Michaela; twin sons, Max and. Ben, and dog, Brady (yes, named after Tom Brady of the NE. Patriots).
BASIC Director & Front Office Receptionist
Kathy Hedlund began as our Extended Day Coordinator in 2001. In 2015, she became our front office receptionist and continues managing the administrative aspects of our BASIC program. She has been in childcare since 1986 and developed our aftercare program into its present program. Kathy was a Navy Brat for 18 years and also attended Virginia Tech University. Kathy is still married to her high school sweetheart and has 4 grown children. In her spare time, she loves being with her grandchildren and baking.
Bill has been involved with Lourdes in a volunteer role since 2013 as a basketball coach. His passion for sports at Lourdes quickly grew into volunteering as Sports Coordinator the following year. As Bill added new grade levels and sports to the Lourdes Athletics Program, he became Athletic Director. Bill became an official member of the Lourdes staff when he was hired as Lunch Program Director in 2016. Before joining Lourdes staff, Bill was a stay at home dad. He graduated from Randolph-Macon College with a degree in Psychology. In his spare time, Bill enjoys spending time with his amazing wife, Karen, and two awesome daughters, Bailey (Lourdes Class of 2016) and Zoey (Lourdes Class of 2020). He also enjoys watching the Yankees and eating wings and tacos!
Mr. Coffey has been employed with Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School since 2014. Prior to working as the Custodian, he worked as a substitute teacher for a year. Before coming to Lourdes, Mr. Coffey was employed with the U.S. Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Prisons in excess of 25 years. He graduated from the University of Alabama with a degree in Criminal Justice. Mr. Coffey enjoys camping and traveling with his wife and spending time with his grandkids.
Mrs. Sarah Atkins is our PreKindergarten. She has been a teacher at Our Lady of Lourdes since 2001. She attended Radford University and earned a BS in Early Childhood Education. In Mrs. Atkins’s free time she likes to travel to the mountains, do crafts and play with her grandchildren. She enjoys reading and taking long walks, especially in the fall.
Pre-K Instructional Assistant
Mrs. Coffey has been assistant teaching Pre-K and Kindergarten with the Richmond Diocese for 10 years. She received her AA Degree in Office Communications from Okaloosa Walton Technical School in Florida and a certificate in Early Childhood Development. She has two children and two grandchildren. She loves art and music and enjoys nature and traveling with her husband.

Mrs. Densley, KA
Mrs. Whitney Densley is a kindergarten teacher, and she has been with Our Lady of Lourdes for eight years. She is from Boca Raton, Florida where she began her teaching career over 20 years ago. Mrs. Densley attended Florida State University and earned a Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education. In Mrs. Densley’s free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and four children. She also loves to work in her garden.
Ms. Bramlet, KA
Kindergarten Instructional Assistant
Mrs. Bramlet is our Kindergarten Instructional Assistant. She is a familiar face at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School helping in our lunch room and serving as a substitute teacher since 2008. She graduated from Marymount University with a Bachelor degree in Business Administration. Her two children graduated from Lourdes- Abigail in 2009 and Will in 2013. She is excited to officially be a member of the Lourdes team!
Mrs. Ratchford, KB
Mrs. Katie Ratchford is one of our Kindergarten teachers. She has also taught the PreKindergarten class for 7 years. She attended Longwood University and earned an undergraduate degree in Bachelor of Science. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her young son and husband, and playing with her 2 dogs.
Mrs. Snow, KB
Kindergarten Instructional Assistant
Ms. Stacie Snow is our Kindergarten Instructional Assistant. She has been with Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School for 7 years. Ms. Snow attended Radford University. In her free time she enjoys spending quality time with family and friends. She enjoys being the taxi driver for her two daughters, Makayla and Murphy!
Mrs. Hill, 1A
Mrs. Kathleen Hill is a first grade teacher at Our Lady of Lourdes. Prior to that she taught third grade, first grade and kindergarten in Virginia and New York. She has a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a Masters in Early Childhood Education. Mrs. Hill is a product of Catholic schools, K-12. She enjoys spending time with her husband, four children, and her new son-in-law… who are all Hokies!
Mrs. Zacharias, 1A
First Grade Instructional Aide
Mrs. Marie Zacharias has been with Our Lady of Lourdes School since 2002. Prior to becoming the first grade Instructional Assistant, she served as a Kindergarten Instructional Assistant. Mrs. Zacharias graduated from VCU with a degree in Criminal Justice. She began her journey with Our Lady of Lourdes School when she entered first grade here many years ago. Her three children Tony, Michael, and Alison also went to school here, so Our Lady of Lourdes School has played a major role in her life. When she is not at school she enjoys going to the Y, hanging out with her friends, and being with her husband and children at Chic’s Beach.
Mrs. Manning, 1B
Mrs. Mary Manning is a first grade teacher at Our Lady of Lourdes. She has experience in Fairfax and Henrico Counties as a kindergarten, first and second grade teacher, as well as a reading and math intervention teacher. She holds a Master’s degree in Curriculum & Instruction/ Reading from Virginia Tech. Mrs. Manning enjoys spending time with her family, going out to dinner, walking, playing with her goldendoodle puppy, and laughing with friends.
Ms. Hendrick, 1B
First Grade Instructional Assistant
Ms. Judi Hendrick is the teacher’s instructional assistant for 1B. She has been with Our Lady of Lourdes School for many years and has worked part time in the front office and as a substitute teacher. Ms. Hendrick has two children who attended Lourdes and loved her job as a stay at home mom. She attended Harry S. Truman And Northeastern Illinois University in Chicago focusing on Child Development. In her free time Ms. Hendrick enjoys being with her family, cooking and baking, writing, traveling and live music.
Mrs. Sellers, 2A
Mrs. Wendy Sellers is a second grade teacher at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School. She has been a part of the Lourdes community for the past fifteen years as both a teacher and parent. Prior to Lourdes, Mrs. Sellers taught and tutored. Mrs. Sellers attended Salve Regina College and earned her undergraduate degree in Special Education and Elementary Education. In addition, she earned her Master’s of Education in Reading from the College of William & Mary. In her free time, Mrs. Sellers loves spending time with family and friends at the beach!
Ms. Lancaster, 2B
Mrs. Lisa Lancaster teaches second grade at Lourdes. Mrs. Lancaster has been with Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School for 13 years. Prior to teaching at Lourdes, Mrs. Lancaster also taught at St. Bridget’s and Roanoke Catholic School. Mrs. Lancaster attended Westfield State University in Massachusetts and earned a Bachelor of Science in Education degree. In Mrs. L’s free time, she likes to run, ride her bike, do crafty things, and most of all READ!
Mrs. Goode, 3A
Mrs. Christy Goode is a third grade teacher at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School. Mrs. Goode has been teaching at Lourdes since 2008. She taught kindergarten for four years, second grade for two years, and this is her fourth year teaching third grade. Prior to Lourdes, Mrs. Goode attended VCU, where she earned a master’s degree. In Mrs. Goode’s free time, she enjoys reading, watching movies, and spending time with her family.
Ms. Picard, 3B
Ms. Picard teaches 3rd grade at Lourdes. This is her third year with the Diocese. She is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a degree in Business Administration. After being inspired while volunteering in her children’s classrooms, Ms. Picard began her second career as a teacher in Texas over 15 years ago. She comes to OLL with experience teaching Kindergarten through 4th grade. In her free time, Ms. Picard enjoys reading and attending musicals and, as a relative newcomer to Virginia, exploring her new surroundings through sightseeing and lazy Sunday afternoon drives.
Mrs. Gillikin, 4A
Mrs. Gillikin is teaching fourth grade language arts and social studies. She began working at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School in 2012 and this is her sixth year teaching. She attended Sweet Briar College and graduated in 2012 with her Masters of Art in Teaching. In her free time, she enjoys baking, traveling, jogging, reading, and exploring Richmond.
Mrs. Trible, 4B
Mrs. Marisa Trible is teaching 4th grade math and science. This is her fourth year at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School. Prior to Lourdes she taught in Chesterfield County for 7 years. She attended James Madison University for undergraduate and graduate school where she earned her Master’s in Teaching. In Mrs. Trible’s free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children and being outdoors.
Mrs. Davis, 5A
Mrs. Jane Davis is our fifth grade teacher at Our Lady of Lourdes. Prior to this year, she taught in Chesterfield County and retired after 34 years of teaching. For the past, few years she held several long term substitute positions in Chesterfield and at Our Lady of Lourdes School. She earned her bachelor’s degree at Radford University. She has three grown children and six grandchildren. In her free time, she enjoys being with family and friends and most recently, she and her husband have taken up camping.
Mrs. Brunet, 5B
Mrs. Abigail Brunet is a 5th grade language arts and social studies teacher. This is her second year teaching at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School. She attended Virginia Commonwealth University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Early and Elementary Education and a master’s degree in teaching. In her free time, Mrs. Brunet enjoys teaching dance classes at a local dance studio. As a Lourdes alumni, she is very excited to be back at Our Lady of Lourdes as a teacher.
Middle School: 6th - 8th Grade
Mrs. Anne Adkins teaches Language Arts in our middle school. Before coming to Lourdes, she was the upper school English teacher at Luther Memorial School where she taught 5th-8th grades. Mrs. Adkins earned a BA in English from James Madison University and spent many years as an editor at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. In her free time, she enjoys reading, collecting children’s and young adult literature, playing with her two boxer dogs, spending time with her husband and two children, and traveling to and exploring Ocracoke Island.
Mrs. Mary Sue West is one of our middle school English teachers and our yearbook adviser. She attended Lourdes herself through 5th grade. She has been teaching at Lourdes for over 20 years and taught 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades prior to teaching English in the middle school. Mrs. West earned her undergraduate degrees in English and Economics at James Madison University and her masters degree in education at Virginia Commonwealth University. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends. In addition to her students and teaching, her passions include her kids, her dog and grand-puppies, watching football… Pittsburgh Steelers, coffee, exercise, and spending time at the beach!
Mrs. Dana Golebiewski is a middle school mathematics teacher at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School. She earned her Masters in Educational Administration at the University of Missouri – St. Louis, after earning her Bachelors in Middle School Mathematics and Elementary Education at Missouri State University. She taught middle school math for five years in St. Louis, and one year in Chesterfield County Public Schools, before coming to Lourdes in 2016. She enjoys spending time with her husband and their two cats, and watching St. Louis Cardinals baseball.
Mrs. Jen Perego is a middle school mathematics teacher at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School. She has been teaching at Lourdes since 2015. Prior to Lourdes, Mrs. Perego taught high school mathematics and computer programming in Henrico County for 7 years. She attended the University of Richmond, where she earned a B.A. in Mathematics and a M.Ed in Curriculum and Instruction. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Andrew, and two young sons.
Mrs. Robyn Dahl has been a member of the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School faculty since August 2009. In fall 2014, she became the school’s Religion Coordinator and joined the middle school unit teaching the religion course. Before joining Lourdes, Mrs. Dahl taught in Chesterfield County for 3 years and in a private Kindergarten in Illinois for 4 years. Mrs. Dahl graduated from the University of Connecticut with a B.A. in English Literature. She received her teaching certificate from Trinity International University in Illinois, and received her Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from American College of Education in February 2017. In her free time she enjoys spending family time with her husband David and two daughters Sydney and Jenna.
Mrs. Laura Hall began teaching at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School in 1990. She attended Virginia Commonwealth University and earned her B.S. in Secondary Science Education. In Mrs. Hall’s free time she enjoys spending time with her daughter and husband. Her family spends most of their time with her daughter’s horse, Icy’s Prospect, at jumper shows around the Commonwealth.

Ms. Katy Moorefield is the middle school Social Studies teacher and has been teaching at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School since 2016. Prior to Lourdes, she attended James Madison University and earned her B.A. in International Affairs. After living abroad for a year, Ms. Moorefield earned her Master’s of Art in Teaching from Liberty University. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and family, going to the Outer Banks, and gardening.
Mrs. Amore Wren is the Art Instructor and has been with Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School for over 10 years. Prior to teaching at Lourdes, Mrs. Wren managed the training and certification divisions for several technology firms in Richmond. Mrs. Wren attended Virginia Commonwealth University earning degrees in Painting and Printmaking, Art History, and Art Education. She is married with one daughter who works at a downtown marketing company and spends precious free time in her home studio: painting, researching art trends and artists, and with her husband, museum-going, cooking, and traveling.
Mrs. Kathleen Warren
Mrs. Kathleen Warren is the Technology Resource Teacher and has been teaching for over 20 years at Our Lady of Lourdes School! She earned a Bachelors’s degree in Psychology at Emerson College in Boston and her Post-baccalaureate teaching degree at Montclair State University in New Jersey. She previously taught in Hanover County. Outside of school, Mrs. Warren enjoys traveling, going to plays, experiencing history, being with family and friends and hanging out with her two dogs, Callie and BonnieJean.
Mrs. Amy Gouldman has been the librarian at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School since 2013. Prior to that, she worked as a Library Media Specialist in Richmond City Schools and Chesterfield County Schools. She attended James Madison University for her undergraduate degree and received her library certification from Virginia Commonwealth University. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Mike, her three children, Grayson, Charlie, and Cate, and reading lots of books!
Mrs. Jeannie Edwards is the music teacher at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School. She has been at Our Lady of Lourdes for 29 years. Prior to Lourdes, Mrs. Edwards taught for three years at All Saints. She attended Meredith College and earned her Bachelor of Music degree in Organ and Music Education. In her free time, Mrs. Edwards enjoys being a grandmother, gardening, cooking, and spending time with her extended family.
Mrs. Annette Sirica is has been teaching Physical Education at Our Lady of Lourdes School for nearly 20 years. She has had 40 years experience in the P.E. teaching, coaching and fitness area, including several years as a Division I college Cross Country and Track and Field coach. Mrs. Sirica has undergraduate and master’s degrees from Central Michigan University and doctoral classes in the Exercise Science field at University of Wisconsin. She has two adult children and in her free time, she enjoys running and spending time with her husband, eight cats and 2 dogs.
Mrs. Heather Hemstreet joined the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School faculty in 2007. She attended Virginia Commonwealth University and graduated with a B.A. in Spanish. She and her husband, Marc, have two sons, Aidan and Parker, who keep them very busy. In her free time she loves (especially on a rainy day) curling up with a good book and at least one of her four cats!
Mrs. Helene Frantz is our Reading Specialist and this is her third year at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School. Prior to Lourdes she taught for 17 years in Chesterfield County and Henrico County Public Schools. She attended the University of Virginia and earned her B.S. in Early Childhood Education, as well as a Masters in Reading Education. In Mrs. Frantz’s free time, she enjoys reading, cooking, crafts and spending time with her family.
Mrs. Jodi Chewning is our Math Specialist and this is her first year at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School. Prior to Lourdes she taught for 16 years in Hanover, Goochland, and Powhatan County Public Schools. She attended Shippensburg University in Pennsylvania and earned her B.S. in Elementary Education. Later, she attended Virginia Commonwealth University and earned a Masters Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies along with her math specialist certification. In Mrs. Chewning’s free time she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and being outdoors.
Ms. Ana Tello-Duran
Segura Initiative Advocate
Ms. Ana Tello-Duran joined us in early 2016 as our Segura Initiative Advocate. She earned her Associates in Human Services with a specialization in Pre-Social Work from John Tyler Community College in 2015. In May of 2017, she completed her Bachelor’s in Social Work at VCU and immediately started her graduate school work. In her free time, she enjoys reading, dancing, and traveling.
