Stemming from a concept created by schools in England, every student is sorted into a House where they will remain for all of their Lourdes years. Houses generally meet three times a month for activities centered on relationship building, service, and teamwork.
The benefits of a house system are the enhanced opportunities to build relationships with students and teachers, a sense of community in being part of a smaller family within one large school, and for every student to have an adult advocate to provide guidance when needed.
Each of our houses is derived from the Latin word for our discipleship traits – Courage (Fortitudo), Hope (Ancora), Respect (Dignatio), Integrity (Probitas), Service (Ministerium), and Thankfulness (Gratia), which together spell out CHRIST.

Lourdes welcomed our children (who were new to the country) with open arms and offered up every understanding and accommodation to meet our kids where they were. The Lourdes teachers and staff are a community unlike any other, and we are grateful for their dedication to each of their students in caring for students’ educational, emotional and spiritual needs so well and in such a personalized way. Lourdes has worked tirelessly so that the school can remain open during COVID restrictions, which has been extremely critical for children who are in dire need of in-person instruction. Lourdes has done this work in a loving, Christ-centered way and even though school is a bit different this year, it remains a loving environment where our children can thrive.
